SsangYong Philippines has been handled by Berjaya Motor Philippines since 2016, and the brand currently has 2 dealerships in the country and is based in Makati City.
SsangYong currently brands itself as the Korean SUV specialist, and its lineup is representative of that claim. The SsangYong Musso and Musso Grand are the two pickup trucks in the range, while the Ssangyong Rexton is the SUV counterpart. The Tivoli and Tivoli XLV fill out the crossover segment, while the Rodius is the brand’s MPV offering.
SsangYong has updated its lineup in 2019 to make room for the Rexton, Musso, and Musso Grand pickup trucks. All of these models come equipped with diesel engines and 4x4 capabilities for select models and variants.
The Korando compact crossover was removed from the lineup to make room for the pickups and ladder-frame SUV.
SsangYong’s designations are straightforward. For SUVs and pickups, all models can come equipped with 4x4 systems save for the standard Musso, which only comes in a 4x2 configuration. For the crossover offerings, the Tivoli gets two families of variants, the XLV line which is differentiated by Sport, Premium Sport, and Sport R names, while the other line is designated by EXD and ELX, with the ELX being the high variant.
